The Osaki DuoMax is the best chair I've ever tried. Here are a few of the main reasons: 1) It's the strongest massage of any chair I've ever sat on. I enjoy strong massages, but the strongest setting on the DuoMax is a bit much for me most of the time--which is exactly how it should be. The strongest setting is there when I need it. It can ROCK you when you want it to! 2) The dual mechanisms mean you are getting roughly double the amount of excellent massage that you would be getting with a single mechanism. You're not having to wait while the mechanism makes it way down your back and returns to the areas you really want treated. This, along with the great software, means that you can get the ultimate treatment (at least for me), where one mechanism is devoted to the neck and shoulder area while the other tends to the glutes and lower back. OH, and by the way, 8-roller chairs are the only way to go. Sometimes, it almost feels like there's a 3rd mechanism working on me because of how distant the rollers (on each mechanism) can be from each other at the same time (for example, on your neck while also on your shoulder blades). 6-roller dual mechanism chairs are NOT comparable! When you experience what this chair can do, it is a game-changer. 3) The best software/remote I've ever used. This is a funny industry where a few companies (mainly in China) actually make the chairs and a bunch of companies rebrand them. This means that there are chairs on the market that are sold by 4, 5, maybe more brands, while being nearly identical, sharing the same mechanisms and software. Some are okay, some not, but the DuoMax seems extremely unique, not only in strength, but also control. The tablet remote and software is unlike any other I've seen, and it's amazing. It's very attractive, super easy to use, has a very smart way of adjusting strength where you have 3 broad options for strength, but then can adjust granular detail within each setting area. The programmed massages are different and actually pleasant, unlike many of the modes in other chairs. 4) It supports the head and neck. Many chairs are surprisingly lacking in head/neck support, so when the mechanism leaves your neck/shoulder area, your head kind of falls back, and you have to use muscles to remain in place. This chair is well-designed and supports the head/neck/shoulder areas well. 5) The "piano-key" arm massages are AMAZING. Sooo much better than mere airbags, and better than rollers as well. Your forearms really get worked over, and that's a very good thing. 6) It's attractive, comfortable, well-built, quiet, and feels very premium. Could go into detail on all of that, but the review is getting long. 7) Oh, the speakers are actually pretty decent, too!
If you want the best massage chair currently on the market, this is it. Look no further. It will ACTUALLY provide therapeutic treatment, as much or as little as you like, while adding much joy to your daily life. It's a treat to use. Ignore the YT'ers that are selling chairs, hawking various brands, unable to give you the simple truth that you're after: the DuoMax is genuinely the best chair.
The only caveat being that if you really aren't into massage, you don't want your muscles mechanically loosed via massage, and you're really just looking for a very light rubbing sensation, then no, this isn't the chair for you. It is a chair that delivers therapeutic massage in all modes and settings, so you'll need to find one that promotes itself as "gentle" massage, ie (not very good massage). ;-) For everyone else, find a way to buy the DuoMax and thank me later.
PS I'm not paid, sponsored, nor do I receive anything from this review, I'm just a guy who loves massages and is an extremely happy customer with the Osaki DuoMax.
